An in-hospital education course, headed by Robert Lo, Ph.D./DVM, of Bioguard Corporation is being accomplished every twice a week in Taiwan local veterinary hospitals to connect with the local veterinarians and contribute in improving their professional capability. With his expertise, Dr. Robert shares knowledge on different pet diseases. Bioguard believes that providing this kind of visit can assist the local hospitals in providing continuous training to their vets. Bioguard Contributes in the Publication of China’s Veterinary Magazine
The Veterinary Magazine of Eastern and Western in China releases its 43rd issue including the paper entitled “Feline Infectious Peritonitis: Diagnostics and Therapeutics”, a research conducted by the Bioguard Corporation to disseminate knowledge on the said disease. The said magazine is a compilation from the China’s biggest veterinary conference which Bioguard attended on 2019. The publication is accessible online. The research mentioned was conducted by the Research and Development Team of Bioguard Corporation which focuses on the disease FIP and is fatal to feline. It talks on how the disease affects the life of the pet cat, its symptoms and clinical signs. Furthermore, it elaborates how to deal with an FIP- infected cat, revealing different ways on how to relieve pain and enhance the quality of life of an infected cat.

The Bioguard Corporation, as a part of Taiwan Pavilion, will be participating the BIO Digital 2020, and will be representing Taiwan for the event on June 8 -12, 2020.The BIO International Convention is the biggest worldwide biological conventions in North America being held yearly to showcase innovations from different companies across the world in which Bioguard Corporation actively participates. This is the second time that the company will participate in the said event. Bioguard Launches New Diagnostic Service: Canine Neosporosis
The Bioguard Corporation launches their newest diagnostic service available for canine neosporosis caused by Neospora caninum. With the threat it causes to dog pets, Bioguard’s built-in laboratory in Taiwan accepts samples for testing. The laboratory runs blood or feces samples under qPCR to check the presence of the parasite. The parasite N. caninum is the causative agent for neosporosis, which is an important neuromuscular disease in dogs. The N. caninum is an obligate, intracellular, coccidian, protozoan parasite which causes infection in both dogs as a definitive host, and herbivore intermediate hosts , usually cattle. The disease severely infects young puppies causing paralysis of rear limbs, and is often progressive. Infected adult dogs show neurologic signs, pneumonia, and inflammations in skin, liver, and heart are possible. The corporation, since establishment, has always been a partner of veterinarians in fast and accurate diagnosis of different companion animal diseases.
